“They slipped briskly into an intimacy from which they never recovered.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald
The embrace of a friend, the warmth of family, the touch of a lover – we crave closeness in all its forms. From the very moment we are born, intimacy keeps us alive. Those closest to us speak not only to our hearts, they nourish the mind and fuel the body. There can be intimacy among strangers, too. A glance shared, without words, that somehow connects us to one who sits outside our circle of affinity and yet seems somehow to fit neatly into the path in that
moment.
Jarrett Earnest is an author and curator who works closely with David Zwirner and Zwirner Books. Earnest became fast friends with Lucas Zwirner, David’s son, which is how his connection to Zwirner Books developed. Earnest is curator of the exhibit The Young and Evil which runs at David Zwirner
Gallery until April 13. To hear more about Jarrett Earnest’s incredible work within the art world, including background information about many of the important works appearing in The Young and Evil, listen to the complete interview.
Linus Coraggio is currently preparing for a show at Howl! Gallery in New York City. The show will be a survey of Coraggio’s work including a self-designed style of street art he calls 3-D Graffiti. Some of the events taking place as part of the exhibition at Howl! are panel discussions about
street art with graffiti artists on the panel in order to clear up misconceptions about the medium. There will also be art cars on site during the exhibition. To hear more about this show, Coraggio’s work and in particular street art, listen to the complete interview.

Our planet is finite. We get from the earth the results of what we sow. If we refuse to see the steady decline of our environment and its resources as well as the damage wrought by human hands, there is little future for our species to look forward to....
|
We love testimonials from our students. They tell us more than just how we’re doing as instructors, mentors and experts – they let us know what a great community of really engaged artists we are working with....

These are positive and / or negative reviews of galleries, art fairs, consultants, writers,
online pay to play offers, residencies and more – all written by artists so that other artists can beware of situations where institutions treat artists badly, or that end up costing the artist money or are outright scams.
