-Want to Apply for a Grant? [Last call] - 3 spots left in this class!

Published: Sat, 04/29/17

I'm building a new targeted resource for grant opportunities for all students of the new grant class. It already has recurring major grant deadlines to be aware of that are upcoming as well as selected grants and research libraries to focus your efforts on that change weekly.  Also, if you join the class today, you will hear a live lecture about getting a grant tomorrow (sunday 4/30)

If you missed the webinar, or if there weren't any spots left in the class, now is your chance to get the class on grants with one click today - and begin tomorrow. If you can't watch the video live you can see it at after it is made and I am always here for students to ask questions.

There are just a few more spots left this month. If you want grants, as well as gallery or museum exhibition strategies, editing help for your bio and artist statements, social media strategy, or a class in essential reading on theory and practice - this is the chance to try it out, and use the tools and support from myself to your benefit your practice in one of many ways.

The cost to join is just $40 a month and you can stop whenever you like, and you will meet all the artists that I included remarks from below and have access to nine classes right away with my support, including the class on Finding and Writing a Grant with grant resources and support.

If you are interested, there are about 2 or 3 seats left, just click here to join or read the comments from the community you will be learning with below

This is what people are saying about the classes on Grants as well as Gallery Exhibition Strategy through the community forum (a closed Facebook group) and you will meet then all if you join, and will have my personal attention;

From Julie G. - Dear Brainard, Great News! I wanted you to know in advance because I wanted to thank you for your part in it, which I appreciated so much. I have received the  a Guggenheim fellowship! Yippee! Wow-I needed it-last year was hell- with that gallery not paying me, many debts. And you were a trooper-I couldn't have gotten it together under those circumstances without you. You made sense of my jumbled essay and the whole thing worked! You are making a great contribution through your efforts and your generous attitude as an artist and writer who shares and nurtures. I humbly thank you with all my heart for stepping up to the plate in such a timely manner.
Warmly,
Julie

From Ivan Sherman  - Brainard, I am amazed at how truly giving you are! All your advice is excellent and given with a forthrightness and in wonderful detail that I, having spent a long career in the arts, have rarely experienced before. When I started your course, I questioned the wisdom, but have not for a second been dissatisfied. Thank you!

From Carole Silverstein - Your techniques and advice/support was very helpful. After a 2 day business trip to SF from LA and contacting 15 SF galleries and 4 curators for appointments I connected to the right one, and 2 weeks later she offered me a solo show for next month. So again, thank you.

From Justin Cloud - Hi Brainard, I took some of the things I learned in your class and applied them. Now I'm seeing some results but I have questions!
I had a studio visit with the owner of a small gallery on the lower east side. She said that she was interested in working with me, but would like to see the work more commercially accessible. I sort of know what she meant, work that is easier to sell. But I'm interested in what you think that means. Brainard, you are such an inspiration with your hard work and savvy understanding and your networking skills. You amaze me.  Thanks.

From Ct Cummins - I have news to share and I hope this is an encouragement to all. I listened to the webinar and first worked on fine tuning the website and bio. thanks to all that helped but this is really a shout out to Brainard's suggestions. THEY WORK. I am happy to share I just achieved my third gallery and each gallery is a step up in my career. Do what he says and it will work for you. THANK YOU BRAINARD for sharing your knowledge and support.

From Ruth Chase Boudreaux - Thank you Brainard, I feel very relieved to have the quality of professional help you are offering. As I sit in my small town studio working in isolation while navigating the big art world of Los Angeles from 400 miles away, this course is offering an opportunity to grow and catch up with my peers who have not taken time off from their careers like myself. By no surprise the writing part of being a visual artist is my greatest hurdle. Your tweaks to my bio completely makes sense, so hard to see it on my own.

From Valentina - My first ever solo exhibition is on these days (in Hong Kong where I live). The vernissage was last Thursday and a great success with all exhibited limited-edition prints sold out right away. One thing I want to share is that, if I stuck to my original plan (to organize the exhibition by myself without a gallery representing me), I would have sold very very little. All the good collectors came from the gallery database and working with them was a game changer for me. Also because they know how to sell and I don't. Every path is different but I hope it could be helpful for other artists to read about my experience who are in this group.

From Tatyana Ostapenko - Excited to join the class and want to thank Brainard for being generous with resources. I applied to the Odessa Biennial that Brainard mentioned in his newsletter and got in! This will be my first international show and a homecoming to my native Ukraine. Much gratitude

Ready to join this group and take a chance with $40? Sign up here - http://praxiscenterforaestheticstudies.com/p/getting-your-art-into-galleries

There is no obligation, you can join for a month or longer, but you will have access to all the courses and be in a community of artists right away.

Brainard
