The latest artist selling NFTs? It’s a robot.

Now Sophia has made a splash in the art world by auctioning off an NFT self-portrait for $688,888.

She collaborated with Italian artist Andrea Bonaceto, whose work she processed via neural networks and used as inspiration to make her own art.

The piece that sold for nearly $700k was called "Sophia Instantiation.” It is a 12-second video file that shows Bonaceto's portrait of Sophia evolving into her digital painting. The sale also came with the physical artwork painted by Sophia herself.

"As an artist, I have computational creativity in my algorithms, creating original works," Sophia told the Associated Press. "But my art is created in collaboration with my humans in a kind of collective intelligence like a human-artificial intelligence hive mind."

Some criticize the NFT craze as a bubble.

I think block chain technology and NFTs can ultimately protect artists from getting ripped off, copied, and cut out of resale percentages.

Regardless, NFTs do challenge the entrenched hierarchies of a global art market traditionally controlled by dealers, galleries and museums. In that sense, they're a welcome development.

But whether or not you create NFTs, there is another way you can challenge this hierarchy:

By skipping the middlemen and selling your art online, directly to the people interested in your work.

And that's exactly what I want to teach you on Monday's free masterclass on the 30th of August at 1:00 pm EST:

A proven system to generate art sales online.

You can use this to sell physical paintings. You can use this to sell music. You can use this to sell books. It works regardless of the medium of your art.

This system works even if you have no business experience and have never sold online.

You will walk out of this training knowing exactly what it takes to make a sale on the web and how some of the top artists are doing it today so that you can start generating sales online and build a base of collectors in the next 12 months.
