Patrons Webinar goes on Tinder (swipe right?)
Published: Wed, 06/23/21
So, like any concerned fairy godfather, I’ve taken it upon myself to write his Tinder profile for him.
His hobbies include:
- Helping serious artists get patrons for their practice, especially if they’ve struggled to secure funding in the past
- Spoiling you with word-for-word scripts to add to your letters so that patrons see you as a CAUSE as opposed to a selfish artist that needs something
- Headhunting patrons and corporate sponsors interested in funding your projects (Use the tip I show you on slide 51 to identify your first 20 potential patrons)
- Framing and decorating the dream you have, be it a painting, a sculpture or a film, so that it gets funded (This old-school fundraising technique used by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov practically guarantees that your letters will be answered generously)
- A liberal use of the eraser to make sure you don’t write the wrong things (If you write to the wrong patrons - or write to the right patrons in the wrong way - instead of that donation confirmation, what you see in your inbox will be a humiliating rejection)
My godchild is allergic to: peanuts, ruined paint brushes, and people who say “Draw Me Something”....
So if you’re a serious artist, but you’ve struggled to get funding for your projects in the past, then swipe right.
(Click the link above to register for the workshop. We’re going live on Monday the 28th of June at 1:00 pm EST and you’ll get a replay if you register but can’t attend)
Grab your spot, grab your coffee and see you on Monday!

Fairy godfather’s post-script: There will be a replay, but only for subscribers who register. So I recommend clicking that link even if you can’t make it to the live session. Here’s the link again:
