Gamestop vs Patrons

If you had invested $5 into Gamestop, and timed the market perfectly, buying low at $2.57 and selling high at $483 (right before the stock crashed), you would now have $939.
What if you had invested your $5 into a few sheets of hand-made paper and written a letter to a potential patron instead?
Then you might have had:
- Your project completely funded by one patron, all $17,600, like my student Barry L.W. did; or
- Raising $3,900 in your first round of fundraising, like my student Shantelle S. did; or
- Come home to 2 checks totalling $1,000 after a day out, like my student Alison W. did.
Of course, unlike your Gamestop investment, you’d also have:
- The notoriety of being an artist with patrons, and the respect and admiration of your peers.
- The peace of mind that comes with funding without strings attached.
- The security of a patron that wants to keep funding your work.
- The confidence to find more patrons after the first success.
One more thing:
When that check arrives in the mail, and funds your entire project, what happens to your self-talk? To that relentless “4 am” chatter in your mind?
You get to tell yourself the story that you’re good enough to deserve wealthy patrons. You finally KNOW you’re smart, capable, and talented enough.
Fare thee well imposter syndrome. FOR LIFE.
And that’s exactly what my upcoming webinar is all about.
On Monday the 28th of June, at 1:00 pm EST, I will teach a free workshop on our proprietary Praxis Artist-Patron Matchmaking Method that students have used to raise more than $169,852 - yes, you read right $169,852 - to date.

You will walk out of this webinar with a step-by-step workflow you can use to find patrons that are interested in funding YOUR particular work, and convince them to sponsor you (without feeling like you’re asking for a handout).
>>> You can reserve your seat here (just click the link and you will be signed up, no opt in required) <<<
If you’ve never had a sponsor before, now is the best time to dip your toe in the pool because patronage has steadily risen around the world in the past three years, from USD 834 Billion in 2018 to USD 878 Billion in 2020 (globally), despite the pandemic!
Best,
Brainard
