Artist case study: $2000 in Instagram sales in one day
Published: Thu, 02/04/21
People are buying things online that they have never bought before.
Including art.
Today I want to show you a quick case study on Instagram sales from a Praxis student to give you a sense of what’s possible (screenshot below):

But there is also a dark side to Instagram sales…
The moment you start seeing success, you also start getting messages from scammers.
Check out what happened to Chris:
“Yesterday I got a spam message from a company called InstaPromote, which promises to get you followers for free. Now I knew immediately that this was a con”
Anything promising followers or paid promo is probably not legitimate.
There are services to buy followers, but please don’t do it, because that will get your account flagged since most are fake followers.
Even when they are legitimate, most of those “how to get 10k followers on Instagram per week” strategies taught by professional marketers don’t apply to artists.
Their business is vastly different from ours.
We aren't addressing client's pain points, we aren't offering solutions to their burning problems. As artists, we are selling stories, ourselves and something else ineffable that our buyers feel a connection to.
And more followers doesn't always mean better engagement or more sales.
When you sell work online, this is why you should focus on strategies that actually work for artists.
Guess what?
That’s exactly what I want to teach you next week on the 8th of February, in a live Zoom workshop, for free:
>>> You can sign up for “Sell Online Like a Creative Genius” here (just click the link, no opt in required) <<<
You will walk out of this workshop knowing exactly what it takes to make a sale and how some of the top artists are doing it today so that you can start generating sales online and build a base of collectors in the next 12 months.
So grab your paintbrush, snatch your seat, and see you on Monday!
