Give Your Heart A Break

There are times when the heart closes off, turns its energy inward. Don’t be confused and believe this is out of bitterness, rather, often it is out of gained wisdom – a realization that rest can be its own form of healing. During these pauses, we  have the opportunity to rediscover who we are without the constant pull of attachment. Of course, for many people, closing off completely is not an option at all. But this is just to say that if you feel yourself withdrawing a little, do not panic. Instead, sit with this feeling and attempt a kind of open curiosity. In that stillness, see if you can work out what your heart is trying to teach you.

Professor Omar Kholeif joined us recently to discuss two of their books, among other things.
