I want to tell you about Sabra.

She had the project. She had the vision. What she did not have was funding, or full confidence that an application would work.

She worked through the grant writing material in Praxis. She wrote the proposal using our templates, in her own language rather than grant-speak. She applied for an opportunity she might have otherwise dismissed.

She received the grant. She spent three weeks in Costa Rica, at a center near Chirripo National Park, working with a master printmaker and a master papermaker.

She posted about it in our community because she wanted other artists to know: it is possible. The process is learnable. The application is not as mysterious as it seems.
