A brief note this morning.
Today I am updating the Praxis Center Portfolio and sending it to our curator network.
This is the private directory of member websites -- shared consistently and quietly
with the curators who come through our weekly sessions. It is not public, not searchable, and trusted in a way that a cold email never could be.
Mia was invited to participate in an alternative art fair after a curator found her through a Praxis directory. She did not apply. She was simply seen.
Gina attended a curator session, sent a brief thank-you note afterward, and
received a personal email in return from a curator who had visited her website on his own, taken time to look, and written back with something specific and generous.
Deena posted a photo of her studio peg wall on Instagram and received two gallery inquiries from mid-city Los Angeles galleries within hours. "So happy about the interest generated by such a simple post," she wrote. Sometimes visibility and action compound in ways you do
not expect.
These are not dramatic stories. They are ordinary ones. That is the point.
