Lynne Cooke is a legendary curator who has championed the work of artists who are “outside” the traditional art system - artists who don’t have access to galleries. She is currently curator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, and her résumé boasts a Venice Biennale (1986), a Carnegie International (1991) and a Sydney Biennale (1996).
