Anger can sharpen our senses or cloud them entirely. We’ve all felt the heat of a moment tip into words or actions we wish we could call back. Make space to explore what

JD Raenbeau joined us to talk about At Home With You, his recent show at CLAMP Gallery. While the imagery in the work featured in this exhibition is similar to past work, the color and technique differ greatly following JD’s recent access to high quality fluorescent oil paints. The paintings are tender representations of JD and his husband at home in their native garden on Long Island. To learn more about this ethereal show,

Madeline Peckenpaugh recently chatted
about her recent show, Chosen Places, which ran until June 25 at Alexander Berggruen Gallery. While on the surface, the work in the show depicts landscapes, there is more going on here. Objects appear to defy natural laws, an effect achieved through the process of creating the paintings in the application of the paint.
It is this process Peckenpaugh hopes viewers will be curious about as it helps inform the narrative of the painting. To learn more, listen to the complete interview.
