And join the hundred artists who got supported by the director and founder of India’s leading art foundations?
Feroze Gujral is a philanthropist, art aficionado, patron, businesswoman, columnist and media personality.
She is the Founder Director of Outset Contemporary Art Fund, which is the largest acquisition art fund in the world, present in 9
countries, established in 2011. It has been recognized as one of India's leading art foundations. In other words, her “acquisition fund” buys more art than anyone in the world, literally.
She is also on the board of directors for the Guggenheim Museum and the
Serpentine gallery - making her a truly international force in the arts!
The Gujral Foundation has supported 150+ artists and 50+
exhibitions in India and internationally over the last decade.
Feroze Gujral is regarded as one of India's leading art patrons.
Earlier this year, we had the privilege of hosting her at a recent Praxis Roundtable -- a weekly Zoom call where Praxis students meet and interact with influential collectors, curators and gallerists.
Here are some highlights from that Roundtable:
- Video Clip 1: She shares her office where people come for the drink, stay for the art, and meet artists. She also shares how she doesn't have a vision of herself as somebody who's a big or big foundation or
anything. They just have a lot of fun.
- Video Clip 2: She talks about the value of art and how it influences our daily lives.
- Video Clip 3: She shares the spirit of art, to make and create regardless of the circumstances.
- Video Clip 4: She encourages artists to find business partners (people who are commercial) so they can keep doing what they're doing (creative)
