1500 Yale Radio interviews later: how wealthy collectors actually see artists
Published: Sat, 02/19/22
Hard as it may be to believe, that’s how collectors feel about you.
Even the richest collectors.
They are not there to ridicule you, to look down on you, to chase you away…
No. They are HUNGRY for your art.
Take, for example, collectors Francesco Taurisano and Sveva D’Antonio from Naples, Italy, who regularly travel to see art at museums, galleries, and art fairs around the world.
The couple lead Collezione Taurisano, a collection of nearly 400 works.
Sveva is also a partner at the Sicily-based gallery Laveronica Arte Contemporanea.
Here is what she admitted at a recent Praxis Roundtable:

Praxis members meet a major collector every week in a live discussion: https://youtu.be/FqxCqjk_ARM
“...this audience is fantastic. You’re all artists. So I always say: you're not looking at me with two eyes, you're looking at me with three eyes, because I'm sure you're seeing something that I'm not seeing. That's why I'm collecting because I'm hungry for all the vision that you can give me besides the one that I can see with my own eyes.”

The good news is: Getting your work into a major collection - getting discovered by a hungry collector - isn’t rocket science. It’s actually a rather simple process:
- Find a wealthy collector that collects art like yours.
- Write a letter to introduce yourself and book a Zoom meeting
- Talk to the collector via Zoom and be prepared to talk prices.
The question, of course, is *how*.
HOW do you find that wealthy collector?
HOW do you write that letter to them so it gets a response?
HOW do you talk to that billionaire collector when they come over for a studio visit?
That’s exactly what I want to teach you on Monday’s workshop:

Join us live for free on 21st February at 1PM EST and I promise you will walk out of the session knowing exactly what it takes to land your first or next major collector.
>>> You can register for the workshop here (just click the link, no opt in required) <<<
(Registration closes next Monday the 24th of January, no exceptions.)

PS: The workshop is only recorded for those that register, so click the link above even if you can’t make it to the live session.
There’s also a big show-up live bonus that you get just by showing up live...
All webinar registrants will get a replay afterwards, but only those who attend live will get the slides. And if you stay till the end of the workshop, I’ll also give you the contact details of 2 major collectors!
